OIW-EX 100/1000

The OIW –EX system is designed to operate in hazardous environments and provide consistent, accurate and uninterrupted measurements of Oil in Water in the ppm range.

The OIW-EX Series of Oil in Water Monitor Systems uses laser induced fluorescence to energize the contents of the measurement chamber with an incident optical wavelength. A sensitive tuned detector is then used to measure the stimulated fluorescence value. This fluorescence value is used to determine the proportion of hydrocarbons within the chamber.

To overcome the problem of contamination of the optical path, a proprietary self-cleaning technique has been incorporated. The cleaning process is user-configurable to accommodate a wide variation of environmental conditions.

The equipment has a user friendly windows based display providing a wealth of information. Industry standard outputs include a 4-20 mA output as a measurement of oil content over a provisional range, an RS-232 data output and an Ethernet port over which the user can either receive data, or remotely control the unit.

Applications
The EX1000 has an inbuilt optical spectrum analyzer that allows for enhanced analysis of produced water. The unique additional layer of analysis that the spectrometer provides sets a new standard of capability providing information that was previously thought unattainable, empowering process engineers with a far greater insight of process dynamics resulting in improved process management.

Features:

  • Maintenance free - Self cleaning system
  • Enhanced range - 0 - 20,000 PPM
  • Total detection - Full scan spectrometer
  • Exd - Purged air NOT required
  • User friendly - Windows OS
  • Data logging - 10+ years of storage
  • Accurate - Resilient to oil droplet size

Advanced Sensors software suite includes SpAn (Shown right) simplifying the analysis of multiple optical scans simultaneously. The scans are archived as part of the data logging feature, capturing accurately the time and the reason for the spectrum scan.
